BauWerke Out of Office – visit of the “Kalkscheune”

From 1804 to the present.
And in(to) the future.

As part of our regular “Out of Office” events, we visited one of our exciting projects, the listed “Kalkscheune” – a former home of Berlin’s art, culture, and events scene – in the heart of Berlin.

An interesting presentation by the project management provided us with many important details and background information about this significant building.

In this four-part building complex, parts of which date back to the 18th century, history is not only tangible and visible, but will continue to be experienced after a heritage-compliant expansion, energy-efficient and technical renovation, and aesthetic redesign.

A pioneering combination of innovation and history will, upon completion in 2027, serve, among other things, as the new headquarters of Georg Neumann GmbH, the global market leader in high-quality audio technology.

We concluded our excursion together with a pleasant dinner.
